8:00 am
The first thing in the morning, I check the installation manifests to determine what we’ve shipped. I print out all the Pos and then receive and print the invoices for all the sales order.
9:15 am
I look at the daily check of one of our larger distributors and apply cash to the accounts. I match each PO with AR aging and apply it to the receipts.
10:30 am
I review all my emails and return any calls from my voice mail.
11:45 am
We supply cedar wood to our manufacturers and I need to determine what their needs are and if I need to put in another order. I then do the invoicing for the cedar to the manufacturer so we can get paid. My job involves invoicing for both Sheds USA and HIP. Invoicing involves almost 95% of my time.
1:00 pm
Lunch at my desk while I check in with my manager to see if she has any hot issues that I should be working on.
1:45 pm
One of the vendor reps has come to me with an issue. One of our customers would like a refund payment, so I need to research whether or not there is a balance due. I go online to the vendor website and work with them to see how we want to resolve this and if the vendor has plans to pay us and whether we can give a refund.
2:30 pm
I look into and resolve the receivables that are greater have been in aging for more than 60 days.
3:30
I gather my paperwork and create an update for AR and the Controller. On Fridays, I update them on what I’ve completed during the week.
4:30
I’m off to the bank to make deposits!
